My passion lies in portrait photography, a deep love that evolved from early experience with landscapes. I specialize in fine art portraiture, where most images are a collaboration with the subject, elevating the final photograph through combined creativity. While a photographer's eye is paramount, I also choose equipment to achieve a specific visual result. For many years, I've been drawn to the familiar aesthetic of film photography.

When it comes to equipment, my approach is flexible, ranging from the spontaneous feel of 35mm to the rich detail of medium format film (like 6x6) and the methodical meditation of large format photography (4x5 and 8x10). My commitment is not to a single camera, but to the final print: I pre-visualize the image and select the ideal combination of camera, lens, lighting and background to uncover that unique, timeless quality.
